I’ve spent the last 15+ years serving in the world of nursing — much of it in behavioral health, hospice, and nurse education. Alongside that, I’ve ministered for over 30 years as a pastor, counselor, and teacher. These two paths — clinical and spiritual — have never been separate for me. In both, I’ve sat with people in crisis, walked with families through grief, and supported leaders on the brink of burnout.
Whether I’m consulting with a legal team, coaching a hurting soul, or guiding a church through transition, my goal is always the same: to bring calm, clarity, and compassion to difficult spaces.

- Registered Nurse (since 2008) with extensive experience in behavioral health, hospice, and systems-based education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Master of Arts focused on Advanced Nursing & Mental Health Studies
(including 30 graduate credit hours from a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program) - Master of Ministry in Counseling, with emphasis on biblical care and emotional wellness
- Legal Nurse Consultant specializing in psychiatric, behavioral health, and end-of-life cases
- System Educator for Adult & Pediatric Behavioral Health at Norton Healthcare
- Developer of Behavioral Health Core Curriculum for nursing and support staff
- Skilled in de-escalation, milieu management, suicide risk assessment, and nurse burnout prevention
- Known for integrating clinical insight, leadership strategy, and clinically-informed soul care in both training and consultation

Outside of work, I’m husband to Michele and “Pop” to a beautiful granddaughter (with more, Lord willing, to come). We have a blended family of mostly grown children and enjoy the quiet rhythms of Kentucky life. I’m often recharged by binging our latest favorite TV series, spending time with friends, and savoring a daily cup of toasted marshmallow iced breve. Jesus and family keep me grounded in both joy and sorrow — and remind me daily why this work matters.
